Happy Fathers Day!

We started out the day with a few cards and breakfast on the deck..."Here, Daddy...Happy Father's Day"...


Then we went to the ZOOQUARIUM in Yarmouth...



We started with some Turtles. This is a snapping turtle. His neck gets really long and it looked a little weird. Oliver seems to agree.


This is a baby snapping turtle. We thought he was fake at first but then he moved. His shell was only 2 inches wide at the most...tiny turtle.


Then we saw some frogs and toads. The American Bullfrogs and the Box Turtles were our favorite. Ribbit.


Oliver got to ride on Daddy's shoulders to see a 'Zoorific' show.


That is were we met MISS PICKLES. She was a very sweet 7 Month old Pot Belly Pig. We know a lot about pigs now. Here are a few things we learned:
~ Pigs are the 4th smartest mammal(even smarter than dogs!).
~ They can't look up.
~ They use mud as sunscreen and to cool off.
~ They are used to sniff out illegal drugs because they have an incredible sense of smell!


Oliver liked Miss Pickles.

Here was the highlight of our day! Oliver went on his first pony ride! Giddy'up...

Pears.

Pears are yummy and...ahhh...no, you can't have this back. In fact, if you take it from me I will cry- even if you are just rinsing off the carpet fuzz from when I dropped it on the floor...so please, do us both a favor...and step away from the pear.

Ding Ding Ding! Fruit-sicle Truck has Arrived!

"Mmmmm.....Mmmmmm....Mmmmm! - Good Humor ain't got nuthin' on my momma's homemade fruit-sicles" exclaimed Master Oliver as he enjoyed a nutritious snack on the veranda...

Wheels -n- Stars

As we explore the land of finger foods we start with Wagon Wheels and Star Puffs. Both melt in the mouth and tend to get a bit sticky. Wheels are a little larger and can be "paw'ed" but stars require a little hard work to get that pincer grasp down. Once you do get a hold of a star the next trick in placing it in the mouth. Sometimes, if you miss, the star can mysteriously disappear. Can you find it?


...and even if you sneeze real hard...they stick where stuck....

Cracker Barrel

A family trip to the outlets...stopped for a bite to eat at Cracker Barrell. The best thing about it were these pictures. If ever you are subject to eating at a Cracker Barrell, and we hope that you are not, DO NOT ORDER THE BREAKFAST!!!
